Default Bellagio Hotel: The Best in the World

Hi Traders,

One of the secrets to trading (and life) success is expecting the best from yourself, and working with the best people in the world.

It was an honor for me to get permission from the Bellagio Hotel to meet with, and publish this rare photo, of me and renowned President Randy Morton of Bellagio hotel in December 2010:

Randy was very cordial, he was telling me about their 10th anniversary of being a 5-diamond property; that's an exceptionally difficult feat to accomplish in the hospitality industry; Randy's one of the top hotel executives in the world. I could tell he was proud of his management team and employees for all their hard work, he is a very genuine, capable leader. I've worked with hundreds of executives back in my prior consulting career, I could tell from our conversation that he's one of the world's top executives (his competency and leadership acumen came through instantly).

Here's a good article about Bellagio and how they've been able to achieve such spectacular success as hoteliers:

Randy Morton also won the Nevada Hotelier of the Year award in 2008 (congrats):

I was staying at the Bellagio because I was a featured speaker at the Moneyshow.com Traders' Expo being held in a nearby venue. I always like to stay at the Bellagio when I'm in Vegas, because they have the finest service, best food, most entertaining gaming and top-to-bottom world class service I've seen anywhere.

I personally like the Bellagio Lakeview Suites best, they're spacious with floor-to-ceiling window views of the famous Bellagio fountains -- it's a very special experience. This last time, I stayed in a "Lakeview Deluxe" room, here's the view, it was fantastic:

Highly recommended. Bellagio Hotel is my favorite property in the world, I feel safe, like I'm at home, that I can trust the entire staff to deliver a world-class experience. In staying there many times these last few years, they've always overdelivered. One of the best experiences of my life is staying at Bellagio. You'll like it a lot, be sure to stay there as well (tip: get on their email list to get special promos):

There is no substitute. Book a lakeview room now, it'll be one of your life's top experiences.

These pages contain excerpts of actual trades I've made; it's not a complete record of every single trade I make. Some days I'll take trading wins or losses that I do not take the time to screencap and post online; it's a partial record of some of my trades. Note that I am not making income nor profitability claims of any kind. Most traders lose regardless of what they do. The majority of my personal income comes from my training business. I try to capture the best highlights of successful days so you can see practical examples of what I'm trading. There are also days in which I incur losses (and wins) which are not shown. This is simply a partial record showing highlights of some of my successful trading days. No representation is being made that other traders, including customers, will be able to trade like I do. Generally expected (average/typical) trader results are that all traders incur trading losses and most do not become profitable, regardless of the training they get. Trading is a speculative, high-risk activity.

That is a great set of pictures Ken. We stayed there one time and loved it.
Here is a picture I took at night of the Bellagio fountain show.

This is a great place. The fountain view side was worth the extra $50 bucks. The floor-to-ceiling window views with the TV tuned to the fountain music station for the shows was a plus.

Wishing all the best in trading and have a happy holidays.
Larry

hey Larry, thanks - great picture! Happy holidays to you, too. Nice to see there's fellow fans of Bellagio. Tip: the fountain music on the tv is nice to hear the first couple of times, nowadays when I go I like to have favorite top-40 music playing from my laptop, or listen to Sinatra while watching the fountains. Often youtube.com has a lot of music videos from favorite performers, so those are fun to listen to and have playing in the background while watching the fountains from your room.

At Bellagio, their gelato (italian ice cream) is great at cafe gelato. The nightlub Bank is fun, good sound system. Swimming in the hotel pools during spring/fall is a relaxing experience. Bellagio's buffet is the best I've had in the world (which is saying a lot, I've had lots of buffets at top hotels worldwide).

Whenever I go, I always buy a coffee at the coffee shop and walk the back of the property (conference areas) and stand out at the patio in the back area, overlooking the pools, that's relaxing. and I always play blackjack there (favorite dealers are Ray, Alex, Mabel). The dealer Ray was telling me stories of 'back in the day' when he'd met Sinatra, Dean Martin and others from long ago, it was great to hear.

Many, many hotel staff at Bellagio have stayed there from day 1 when it opened, they're very loyal to the hotel -- another good sign of outstanding leadership and teamwork. They've accomplished a lot, delivering world class quality service.

And of course the magnificent "O" Cirque du Soleil show is a must-see, it's the best performance I've seen in the world.
