NFLX wow missed that one - it's up to $50/share now! I remember when it was in the teens. Has a great trading pattern, 3-4 point range, will likely be trading it this week.

Trailing close stops in many of my positions here.

WYNN, MGM, LVS up on MGM good news re financing.

April 14th 10:06am
Did some small share trades in MGM AIG FITB ZLC BGP BYD so far
My dt acct back up to just under 40K from the 29k I'd started it with, I'm trailing very close stops on all open positions to guard against market turns/reversals.

I'll be aggressively trading those in the list above, here's my actual trade confirmations for trades so far today, as of 11:20am EST April 14th. Now I've go to go send my tax checks to the IRS.

(updated 2:16pm EST; also took net realized p&l losses on closing some open position/swings today - lesson learned is keep stops small, re-enter on continuations vs waiting around for them to come back)

Good trading!

Ken

After the Bell:
p.s. I really liked the trading pattern in WYNN today, strong clean multi-point trading line, and NFLX recently.
I'll be looking at those for trading setups in the days ahead (also see APOL/COCO).

Note the 10-day NASDAQ composite has not been able to take out new highs, with R1 at just over 1660, so I'll be skeptical about adding to position/long swing trades until/unless it gets over there. I fully expect to see at least one or more red days coming up soon, like today's net -1.67 red nas composite day:
http://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/qui...freq=7&time=18 and will be shorting equally aggressively into red days (particularly 2-day lows) as well as trading strong upside moves in stocks like MGM/WYNN/ZLC/BGP/NFLX and others as they occur. Banking/financials (AIG WFC etc) also recovered in recent sessions, I'll be playing those both directions as well.

Futures recovering a bit, I'm trailing close stops on all open longs in my daytrading/swing account since we're near resistance in the NASDAQ composite at 1660 after a multi-day rally.

9:41 gaps in LUFK RJF, others

In a winning zone so far, at least with these small-share real trades - note the unrealized P&L (blue) is WINNING for most, and see how closely I've set the stops, to protect open profits.

April 16 - great day so far, here's my trades:

So far doing well, I closed almost all my positions out, going to cash here into the close on April 16th; the market's overdue for a red day/series of days/correction, so for new long plays I'm going to do mostly day trades vs swings for the next week or two. I don't want to hold much overnight in this active trading account. Taking profits and leaving, CAR did best for me today. Plenty of strong-moving stocks today, ESRX NFLX APOL PIR HTZ and more. Closed out the day with a modest net win, given the volatility I'd like to have done more.

April 17th

Taking minor stops trying to short AEM and others, net -$33 today so far, taking shots at strongest-moving stocks.

Following and/or trading SIRI, PIR MGM GGWPQ CAR BGP ZLC GCI and more.

Put in stop loss entries on most stocks in my long-term Fidelity sep trading acct, eg BGP to lock in gains, and minimize losses
if the market sells off next week, which wouldn't surprise me.

10:48am
Main sector weak so far today is Gold, eg AEM NEM ABX GOLD and others down the most ... mixed market.

3:45pm
Super move with record volume in MGM this afternoon on good news, bought more here. Mostly I overtraded today -- reminder to self, don't trade mon/fri as heavily, especially on in-range days w/TRINs mixed as they were today... COMPQ finally making bullish cup breakout w/handle.

Later on, also taking shorts in COH under the 23, mixed results, superb volatility.

April 23rd 8:30am EST:
Nasdaq premkt futures up, lots of gaps in stocks like BRCM UPS, also will be looking for potential trades in stocks like MICC COH FITB as well as favorites like CAR which had a nice run up yesterday.

Should be a "hot" /high energy day for trading today -- can hardly wait for the opening bell.

winning w/LVS MGM here, also following DDR for next moves, and COF/APOL

grr tried to short MHK 3x here, stopped out of all, right under the 50, as it's run up fast..has a super pattern for shorting, but spreads very wide

made winning bounce plays in BLUD and breakouts in LVS/BYD/WYNN/MGM, small stop in CIT

missed the AMZN run up over 83

Monday April 27th 2009

Wish I hadn't opened up small share swing positions into Friday's close:
ANN APOL BGP BLUD BYD CAR CBG CLP COF CTCM DDR IP LEN LIZ LVS MGM MSFT ZION ZLC ... here in the premkt looks like BLUD the only one in the money; all others in the red due to swine flu market selling. Setting stops below multi-day lows, to not stop out on minor gaps down.

In today's news, gaps up in stocks like NVAX GSK, and down in airlines (UAUA/DAL) and others sensitive to travel, eg HOT (Starwood).

My first premium http://www.TradingTheOpen.com LIVE ROOM session was a big hit, we rocked. Great participation from all the traders, too -- it's THE place to be. Oh too bad if you missed it, it's now closed for enrollment.

Here's some of my trade confirmations today:

4:06pm EST
Strong moves in many; I traded more into the close, ended up a bit in the red after the wins from earlier; initiated a lot of new overnight holds into the close as well, in top-volatility stocks.
