June 7th, 2010 - booked over $660 worth of winning trades, lots of small wins and stops.

Busy day today. I overtraded the middle of the day; as usual my best wins are selling overnight winning holds into the morning moves; here's all my executed trades today in my IB account (note IB only charges about $1/commissh, which makes this volume of trading possible):

This shows every single one of my wins and stops, all total, for June 7th's trades.
For an example of a straight daytrade, see the MEE trades, where I scaled in then sold it out at 11:48 for a decent win.

Here's a screencap of the IB P&L window at the closing bell today:

FAQ: Ken why trade so much?
Answer: In addition to trying to build up my own trading account, one of the main reasons I trade hard is to TEST out new patterns, constantly, to help me develop newly updating trading resources for active traders around the world. So by trading more, I can test various patterns and scaling-in strategies, which I then can pass along to you in my webinars and educational products.

FAQ: How much do you pay in commisshes?
Answer: IB charges about $1/commissh, which makes this style of high-frequency trading possible.

These pages contain excerpts of actual trades I've made; it's not a complete record of every single trade I make. Some days I'll take trading wins or losses that I do not take the time to screencap and post online; it's a partial record of some of my trades. Note that I am not making income nor profitability claims of any kind. Most traders lose regardless of what they do. The majority of my personal income comes from my training business. I try to capture the best highlights of successful days so you can see practical examples of what I'm trading. There are also days in which I incur losses (and wins) which are not shown. This is simply a partial record showing highlights of some of my successful trading days. No representation is being made that other traders, including customers, will be able to trade like I do. Generally expected (average/typical) trader results are that all traders incur trading losses and most do not become profitable, regardless of the training they get. Trading is a speculative, high-risk activity.

June 10th 2010

I bought small shares in BP OIL RIG into the close yesterday on the selloff; they gapped up nicely for me this morning so I sold them premarket.

I learned something new, I thought you could only trade stocks premarket after 8am EST, but I was able to sell these early, after 7am EST. Anyways it's a nice way to start the day, seeing some stocks gapping up in your favor. Frankly I was suprised at how high they had gone, so I just closed them out manually to book the profit, as I had expected these might gap down (not up!) premarket, so this was a windfall.

June 24th relatively choppy market these last few weeks, not many good examples to share.

Here, at 8:23am EST, is my open premarket overnight short ETF positions, these have not been closed out yet, also here's a chart with premarket futures showing selloff (black chart embedded in main FAZ chart), along w/FAZ minor premarket gap up:

I have not closed these trades yet, I'm holding them into the open, to see if market weakness continues into today, if so then I'll likely scale up into more share size.

Taking small stops on some open longs into today's selloff, also doing well with open short ETFs per below. Note how carefully I set stop-outs, most positions will be closed if market recovers back to my entries, if it keeps selling off then they'll continue making more gains, the short ETFs:

These last few weeks have been choppy up and down summer trading, so I'm not trading as much. Here's a few trades I eked out today in my IB account so far, as of 12:31pm EST:

Up just $101 so far today; have been trading very lightly recently since markets relatively choppy; waiting to trade size only on new 2-day/55-day high breakouts/breakdowns.

Default FAS Winning Trades Sept 01 Rally Day

September 1, 2010

I like trading both the FAZ and FAS (triple ETF financials); on rally days I buy the FAS like today, here's a good sample of several (of many more) actual trades I made today to scale into FAS breakout trades today:

Winning trades off the hammer pivot/ATR bounce in MGM today. Sorry it's been awhile since I've posted trade examples, have been busy doing/preparing for webinars (see http://www.TradeWebinars.com ), plus my November Vegas Traders' Expo appearance.

Here's some of the trades from today's action, I used a 15-minute candlestick chart to detect the hammer low in this set of entries w/ATR pivot and tape reading (all covered in the http://www.StockTradingSuccess.com system):

(update: sorry I haven't made time to post a lot of my recent trades here, I've been busy launching new sites like etfmastery.com / breakoutmastery.com / eminiuniversity.com and more this last few months)

Doing great in this ZSL long swing trade here in May 2011:

outstanding chart:

11:24am EST update scaled out of 170 of 200 shares open for a nice $388 real trading win:

As of now, I'm still open 30 shares ZSL long from net cost basis of 20.06, trailing stop at just over breakeven at 20.2, will scale up if it takes out new highs later.

Trade strategy: just scaled in on sequential bullish cup breakouts as it kept going up, I'm still open/in this long, will scale up additional shares if it keeps running, trailing a stop at b/e (breakeven) in case it drops. Good start for the trade setup. I'll be doing similar style trading in GLL (gold short) if it goes up in weeks / months ahead as well.

Default Selling premarket gap up for a 3+ point win

May 12, 2011
Here's an overnight hold gap up scaling out of winning ZSL (short silver ETF) play I did this morning before the bell. Nice win for +$314 profit on just a 100-share exit. I'm letting the remaining 40 shares stay open, and will add into it if it keeps going up after the opening bell. Ca-CHING! Gotta love winning trades.

=======================
End of Day All Trades in this account:

Strategy notes: I trade both the long and short silver ETFs (SLV/ZSL); like I do the financial 3x leveraged etfs FAS/FAZ

June 6th with the NASDAQ taking out new lows, I'm scaling into/out of the short ETFs like FAZ SDS SMN QID BGZ VXX and others. Here's a win on partial sell of overnight hold in FAZ into today's FAZ upside breakout, sold 120 shares for a $323 profit:

Main reason I scaled out most was because #1) FAZ had run to edge of it's trading range (2 points), and #2) it was near whole number resistance.

I teach how to trade those types of setups, and dozens more, in my http://www.ETFMastery.com home study course (which also includes webinars for a year w/current market updates).
