Small day, net profitable which is good:

These pages contain excerpts of actual trades I've made; it's not a complete record of every single trade I make. Some days I'll take trading wins or losses that I do not take the time to screencap and post online; it's a partial record of some of my trades. Note that I am not making income nor profitability claims of any kind. Most traders lose regardless of what they do. The majority of my personal income comes from my training business, and though I'm a net profitable (small-share, under 5k shares per trade) trader, I make more income from my business training traders than I do in trading profits. I try to capture the best highlights of successful days so you can see practical examples of what I'm trading. There are also days in which I incur losses which are not shown. This is simply a partial record showing highlights of some of my successful trading days. No representation is being made that other traders, including customers, will be able to trade like I do. Generally expected (average/typical) trader results are that all traders incur trading losses and most do not become profitable, regardless of the training they get. Trading is a speculative, high-risk activity.

Light trading today since markets were choppy; a few momentum breakouts but no widespread strong trends in sectors, here's my trading round trips closes and P&L for today:

bought MGM and XTXI and SRZ and others into the close, will rebuy on moves through each whole number up

Looks like MGM gapping up here a bit, I'd rebought some into the close yesterday, in both my accounts, will see if it continues up over 14, it's at 13.84 now at 8:30am EST.
Also current in-the-premarket money stocks are XTXI SRZ MPG LVS CMED and others today:

3:46pm Sept 23 2009

Another small day, market chopped around first hour, then spiked up and dropped sharply into the close. I made an erroneous trade, which cost me $69 today, had meant to buy just 70 GBE on the breakout and accidentally entered 3070, then quickly exited 3K for a .02 loss on those, which cost the $69:

Interesting, despite a strong rally open I ended up in the red by a bit, mostly because I was holding small-share short ETFs overnight into the open, got stopped out small on them, as you can see:

"Sometimes in life you're the pigeon, other times you're the statue"; I guess today's small stops made me the statue, ah well the important thing is, keep stops SMALL like I did... so that's good for a lesson learned.

Made a few small wins going long small shares a variety of short ETFs; haven't been trading much the last couple of days. Bought some MGM here for the fidelity position account into the close, very high risk; it's likely going to gap down vs up tomorrow, sharp selling lately; one of the rare times I'm adding to long/wrong positions into the close, for a position trade entry.

I banked another $240 in wins, modest day but good for a Friday, I liked trading the breakouts in SRZ, MBRX and HTZ today:

UPDATE: 3:27pm Nailed another nice winning breakout trade in SRZ, selling 5.17 (3:24pm, banked $76 on this one, woot!), day's total wins now up over $300:

I make money trading and am net profitable, but most traders likely never will.

Testing small-share short ETF trades here, will scale up if/when they continue in my direction:

Strategy note:
Always having a few short ETF shares in play, in their own sub-tab in IB, helps me spot market pivots, eg they'll go down/trail stop out when the market pivots to the long side, so I can then go pay attention to long-side entries in stocks.

Nice (albeit small) profits today, net winning $203.79 so far as of 10:35am EST.

Here's all my closed trades so far in my IB account (note GGWPQ overnight hold sell into rally accounted for almost half today's profits):

My favorite trade: selling the 10.10 near-EXACT top in UAUA this morning... ca-ching! here's the chart, see screencap above for P&L broker proof of the trade:
