Traders often ask me if I have a recommendation for which broker to use. Since I'm not a registered investment advisor, I cannot by law give individual advice as to which broker is best for any particular trader, I Can tell you that personally I use interactivebrokers.com, as they have $1 commisshes for most trades, a great trading platform, and have worked very well for me personally.

I also like that they have a great 'short list' (some brokers don't have a lot of shares available to short, however IB does).
